Senior Centers

The City of Garland Senior Services is committed to providing leisure, social, and human service opportunities to Garland seniors. Adults 55 and above can participate in a wide array of educational, social, and physical activity programs in a friendly and comfortable environment.

Programs are designed to promote and foster healthy independent living, enhance the quality of life and build a sense of belonging and community among older adults.

UPDATE ON THE SENIOR MEAL PROGRAM

Dallas County has authorized the City of Garland PRCAD to continue serving and delivering meals to currently registered seniors. 

Any new seniors wishing to participate in the meal program, please call Garland Senior Activity Center at 972-205-2769 or Carver Senior Center at 972-205-3305.  

The approval process may take a few days, so please be patient.  Once Dallas County has approved new individuals, those seniors will need to drive to Fields Recreation Center or Carver Senior Center to pick-up their meal. Meals will be served Monday through Friday only.

Interested citizens may call Garland Senior Activity Center and speak to staff if interested.

The Senior Meal Intake Form (PDF) and Senior Meal Participant Forms (PDF) must be completed to participate in the lunch program. This service is supported, in part, by the Dallas Area Agency on Aging (DAAA), the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) and Dallas County.
